The north side is drained by tributaries of the gTsang-po river, which begin in Himalayan glaciers. Three longitudinal zones can be distinguished in the Himalayas: the Great Himalayas, snow-covered peaks above 20,000 feet; the Lesser Himalayas, which include the mountains of Kashmir and Nepal; and the Outer Himalayas, made up of the Siwalik range in India. The following peaks stand out from west to east: Gangotri glacier at 23,421 feet (6726 meters); Kamet at 25,595 feet (7756 meters); Nanda Devi at 25,796 feet (7817 meters); Gang-lung at 21,080 feet (6324 meters); Kanjiroba at 21,640 feet (6492 meters); Dhaulagiri at 25,967 feet (8172 meters); Anna Puma at 26,657 feet (8078 meters); Gosainthan (Xixibangma) at 26A40 feet (8012 meters); Gung-thang-la at 23,990 feet (7197 meters); Jo-mo-gangsdkar (Mt.
